“See you on the hill!”
2/24/17 – Snow & Trail Conditions:
TUBING HILL: Even with recent rain and warm weather, we still have a lot of snow! The tubing hill is completely covered and we will have all 5 lanes open this weekend. Friday is our last session of night tubing this season but we’re still open on Saturdays and Sundays through closing day on March 5th.
CROSS-COUNTRY TRAILS: 4+ miles (6.5 km) open for XC skiing, fat bikes, and snowshoes. Saturday, 2/25/17 is free trail access for fat bikes. The Elk Calf and Water Tank Loops (1.5 miles) are also open for fat bikes and snowshoes. Thursday, we groomed the following loops: Charter Ranch Road, SP Loop, Lower River Loop, and the X-Sports Loop. Also open but not recently groomed: Heli Pond Loop and Wapiti Loop (has old track set). Due to mechanical issues with our snowcat, we were not able to groom additional trails or set track. Closing day is March 5th.
USE CAUTION near running water and near the South Fork River on the Bald Eagle Loop. Portions of the trails cross small drainages and water could be running under the firm snow. Look for depressions on the ungroomed snow and dark snow surfaces for indication of water. Conditions can change rapidly with changing weather.
